You know those treats or desserts that you plan on making to share with friends or neighbors… but they turn out so amazing that they somehow just don’t make it to the people you were originally make them for? I love to have fun and healthy snacks ready at home for when you get those munchies or for when the kids get home from school. Trying to keep those snacks unique and different can be a bit hard… in my search for something new to try I fell across Cotter Crunch’s awesome recipe for chocolate coconut pistachio bites. I had all the ingredients at home so I gave them a try and they were a huge hit. The salty crunch of the pistachio mixed with the delicious flavors of chocolate and coconut was perfect.
The other day my family and I all went on a hike with some friends. Half way up the trail we all stopped for a break and to refuel with some snacks. It was amazing to see what some of my friends had decided to bring as a snack to help them on the hike – most of it was junk. When I pulled out a Spicy Perspective’s recipe for Paleo nut bars and chocolate drizzle everyone wanted to try a bite… and once they did they wanted a whole bar to themselves. They are a great and healthy snack!
The other day I was having a major craving for a Twix bar. Yes you heard me right. So instead of completely giving into my craving I decided to try and find a recipe for a Paleo version. I am so glad I did. Paleo Hacks has filled all my cravings and then some with this delicious homemade version of the twix bar. So. Good.
I love a good, delicious, rich, dessert. Chocolate cake has always been on top of that list… I mean, who doesn’t love a good chocolate cake? When I saw this recipe by Paleo Grubs and the fact that it also included a delicious decadent ganache I was sold.
With summertime comes all sorts of delicious berries which means I’m always looking for ways to incorporate them into my recipes.
